We’re raising money to send members of our Labor Committee to the 2026 Labor Notes Conference. Click the button below to be taken to the donation page or read on for more details.
Black Rose/Rosa Negra (BRRN) has long maintained labor organizing as one area of strategic focus. Our members are embedded in a wide variety of industries: healthcare, K-12 ed, higher ed, building trades, transit, and food service, to name only a few. In each of these areas we’re creating rank-and-file power by organizing on the shopfloor, building new unions, and coordinating with existing unions to push for our principles of class struggle, direct action, political independence, internationalism, and bottom up rank-and-file democracy.
Members of BRRN have salted shops, organized slow downs and work-to-rule campaigns, helped launch both wildcat and official strikes, created cross-unit networks, assisted in building reform caucuses, pushed our unions to divest from the genocidal war machine, and much, much more.
These efforts serve our goal of creating a more robust, militant, fighting worker’s movement in the US and within it, a strong pole around which anarchist union militants can gather to strategize and act.
The Labor Notes conference has played a significant role throughout all of this. Over the last decade members of BRRN have sat on panels, learned new skills, and supported the conference in a variety of ways. Twice now we’ve thrown our ‘Red & Black Party’ during the conference, at which anarchist and other revolutionary unionist attendees have made connections, networked, and sowed the seeds for new organizing projects.

With your generous support, we sent nearly 30 members and supporters of Black Rose, as well as members of our South American sister organization Federación Anarquista Rosario (FAR), to Labor Notes in 2024. At our Red & Black Party that same year we hosted more than 500 guests throughout the night, putting anarchist worker militancy front and center.
This year we’re trying to go even bigger, but we need your help!
While Black Rose itself is committing a significant amount of money to cover our member’s travel, lodging, and conference fees, we are also an independent political organization that supports these activities solely through dues.
In return for contributions $40 and above, we’re excited to offer t-shirts featuring an original design by the artist and tattoo maker Landon Sheely.
